About Us

About Us

Established, Science-Informed Invasive Vegetation Specialists

We are Eric and Kristi Stoltzfus. For more than twenty years, we have provided professional poison ivy and invasive vegetation eradication services to homeowners, municipalities, and businesses throughout Massachusetts. We focus on long-term solutions, not temporary suppression. And on protecting both environmental health and landscape integrity.

Our approach is rooted in both education and experience.

Education & Environmental Understanding

In 2024, Kristi graduated summa cum laude from Fitchburg State University with a degree in Environmental Science and a minor in GIS Technologies. Her academic training in ecology, as well as water and plant systems informs the way we design treatment strategies.
Understanding how invasive species spread allows us to implement data-driven, long-term root-level treatment plans rather than cosmetic, short-term measures. This formal education strengthens the practical knowledge gained from decades of fieldwork throughout Massachusetts.

Experience & Operational Leadership

Eric brings extensive field and operational experience to every project. In addition to his work in poison ivy and invasive vegetation eradication, he serves as Chief Financial Officer of a local veterans organization. That role reflects the same principles we bring to our business: accountability, careful oversight, and responsible stewardship.

Together, we combine scientific training with disciplined execution. The result is treatment plans that are thorough, regulation-compliant, and designed for durable results.

Respect for Cultivated Landscapes

Kristi has been a lifelong flower and vegetable gardener. She understands firsthand the care, patience, and effort required to cultivate nutrient-rich soils, thriving plantings and organic healthy produce. That perspective reinforces the precision we apply when working around established gardens, ornamental plantings, and mature landscapes.

Our goal is not simply to remove unwanted plants.
It is to protect what belongs and help it thrive.

Licensed, Regulated, and Accountable

All applications are performed by licensed professionals through the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR). We follow state and federal guidelines carefully and complete ongoing continuing education to remain current with evolving environmental standards.

We are fully licensed and insured.

For complex species such as Japanese knotweed, we develop structured, multi-year treatment plans and stand behind our work with a written guarantee. For properties along boundary lines with poison ivy or invasive vegetation, we also offer annual monitoring and rescan programs to help prevent reinfestation from adjacent land.

Our Commitment

We approach each property with care, discretion, and professionalism. Whether working with a homeowner, a conservation commission, or a private estate, our focus remains consistent:

Thoughtful evaluation.
Disciplined strategy.
Responsible application.
Long-term protection.

After more than two decades serving Massachusetts communities, we remain committed to helping our clients reclaim and preserve the landscapes they value– worry-free and conscience clear.
